Privacy Policy
Draft, 7 November 2026. A legal review is still to come before the App Store release.
Charisma Flow is a voice coaching app for iPhone. This explains what it collects, why, where it goes, and how to delete it. The short version: your voice is never recorded, your practice history is kept with your account so it follows you to a new phone, and you can delete all of it from inside the app at any time.
Your voice
During a drill, audio goes straight from your phone to the AI voice model that plays the other person, and back. We don't record it and we don't store it. The model runs on Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, which processes the conversation to respond to you and may keep data for a limited time to detect abuse, under Microsoft's own terms. We don't store transcripts of your drills.
What we keep with your account
- Your sign-in. Your email address, and your name if Apple or Google shares it. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only see the private relay address.
- Your practice history. For each drill: which drill, when, the difficulty, the coach's scores and written notes, and measurements such as how long your turns were. Also a record of each drill started, which is how the daily limit is counted.
- A few preferences. Your timezone (so a day ends at your midnight), the daily goal you picked, and whether you asked for practice emails.
- Dating drills you've asked about, if any. The dating drills are written for men dating women to start with. If you tap “Tell me when it's ready” for another pairing (men dating men, women dating men, or women dating women), we keep that choice so we can tell you in the app when it arrives, and so we know which to build next. It says something about who you date, so it's only saved when you tap, tapping again removes it, and deleting your account deletes it.
- Usage figures. Which AI model served a session and how much it consumed, so we can price the service.
What stays on your phone
Your answer to “Which describes you?” (it only decides which dating drills are offered), your settings, and your reminder time never leave your phone. The one exception is a “Tell me when it's ready” tap, described above.
What we don't do
No advertising, no selling or sharing your data, no tracking you across other apps or websites, and no analytics SDKs.
Emails
Only if you switch on “Email me practice reminders and tips”. We record when and where you agreed, and you can stop them at any time with the link in every email. Sign-in codes are sent whether or not you opt in, because they're how email sign-in works.
Who processes it for us
- Clerk — sign-in and accounts.
- Microsoft Azure — the AI voice model, and the database that holds your history (United States).
- Vercel — runs the server the app talks to.
- Apple and Google — only if you sign in with them.
- An email service provider — only if you opt in to emails.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your account and history until you delete them. To delete everything, open the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account, sign-in and practice history are removed from our servers straight away, and from this phone. Encrypted database backups roll off within 7 days. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription — do that in your iPhone's Settings.
You can also export your history from Progress → Your data, and ask us for a copy of anything we hold.
Security
Everything travels encrypted. There are no passwords to leak: you sign in with Apple, Google or a one-time code. The app's access to the server uses short-lived tokens that expire within a minute.
Children
Charisma Flow is meant for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data; if you think we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect. Questions or requests: Justin@dgcdigital.com.
